About Gill Chesnutt

Gill first experienced fusing glass at night classes 18 years ago when caring for her Mum with Alzheimer’s disease as an escape. It quickly became a hobby and has evolved from there.

Instantly loved the process and escaping into the world of creativity.

Continues to enjoy creating new bespoke products in her home studio in Glasgow.

A number of years ago started her own Open Studio events to allow people to see her unique and tactile glass products up close. These events are important for Gill to show off her work as well as raising money for charities close to her heart - Alzheimer’s Scotland and Maggie’s.
